We're helping more Nevadans go home.

Shelter. It’s a basic human need – essential for accomplishing almost everything we need and want to do. From getting a job and raising a family to cooking dinner and celebrating a birthday. Yet for so many rural Nevadans safe, affordable shelter is out of reach. In 1972, the Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) was created to address this need.

Working with a consortium of public and private partners, including state and federal housing agencies and local community service groups, NRHA administers affordable housing programs across the state enhancing the quality of life throughout rural Nevada.

We believe when more Nevadans are able to purchase a home of their own or can find affordable rental units, we all benefit through stronger more stable and economically vital communities.

The main office of NRHA is located in Carson City, Nevada, with skilled area representatives located in Churchill County, Lyon County, Elko County, Humbolt County, White Pine County, Nye County, Mineral County and Douglas County. NRHA assists 15 of the 17 counties within Nevada, serving 98,700 square miles and over 280,000 people.
