These pictures and these families represent the reason I do what I do. These were folks who never thought they could own their own homes. Our innovative Housing Choice Voucher Home Ownership program turned these two renters into home owners. It is extremely rewarding to see how our programs really help families realize a dream.

NRHA Board, staff & partners retreat to reconnect

The Nevada Rural Housing Authority’s Annual retreat had a slightly different flavor this year. Usually an event limited to board members and senior staff, this year’s retreat brought together board member, NRHA leadership, partners and NRHA employees to share, learn, reconnect and plan for the organization’s future.

Teamwork makes our best work possible

Did you make a New Year’s resolution for 2010? We did. Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) resolved to help more Nevadans buy a home of their own! We’ve done this before. Since 2006, we’ve helped over 500 Nevada families purchase their first homes and we’re launching a new program that could help even more.
