The Nevada Rural Housing Authority’s Annual retreat had a slightly different flavor this year. Usually an event limited to board members and senior staff, this year’s retreat brought together board member, NRHA leadership, partners and NRHA employees to share, learn, reconnect and plan for the organization’s future.

The group gathered at David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort in historic Genoa, Nevada. Each department made a year-in-review presentation and everyone in the room admitted to learning something new about their colleagues and the work NRHA does.

Highlights included a communication exercise that combined a game of telephone with a monster drawing competition, learning about the challenges of buying a home for $1 and seeing how Facebook is helping NRHA fulfill its mission.
