Portrait of a Great Realtor – Kimberly Ritter of HomeGate Realty
Nevada Rural Housing Authority is lucky to work with many great Realtors in our Home at Last™ Program. Afterall, without great realtors and lenders to get the word out to buyers, no one would use our home buying programs. One of our partners stands out for her knowledge, passion and success at getting first-time homebuyers and Veterans into homes of their own. Her name is Kimberly Ritter and she is an agent with HomeGate Realty in Sparks.
Kimberly loves being a real estate agent and it shows with every family she helps to find their perfect home. Buying a home is a big investment and it might be the largest single financial transaction for many families. It is important to have a professional real estate agent involved in the process. While it is a huge financial commitment, it can also be a highly emotional decision to buy a home.

Kimberly Ritter
Kimberly is the type of agent who not only listens to the buyer in order to understand their needs, she is a voice of reason making sure the long-term commitment of buying a home is a wise one for that individual. It is important to have inspections, review title reports and to carefully structure the purchase contract to benefit the buyers. Kimberly has the experience and knowledge to make sure the buyers address all these concerns and more.
Today’s real estate market is very complex. There are many homes being sold as short sales and homes that are bank-owned. Kimberly and the team at HomeGate Realty have the technical expertise to navigate the maze of new requirements. Plus Kimberly and her team make sure they are up to speed on all of the programs that can benefit their clients. Kimberly gets very excited when she can help her clients buy their dream home and cash in on a program–like Home at Last™–that provides free cash down payment assistance, or a federal program that saves a family thousands of dollars in income taxes.

2009 Veteran's Day Parade group organized by Kimberly
Kimberly has lived in Northern Nevada for a long-time and is very committed to her community. Last year she brought several housing industry groups together and organized our Northern Nevada participation in the Veteran's Day parade honoring military families. It is great to work with someone committed to their profession and their community and so good at their job, too.
