These pictures and these families represent the reason I do what I do. These were folks who never thought they could own their own homes. Our innovative Housing Choice Voucher Home Ownership program turned these two renters into home owners. It is extremely rewarding to see how our programs really help families realize a dream.

The Norkunas family of Douglas County

It was in 1981 that I was first thanked (personally) by someone who had just been able to buy a home because of a bond program. (With the Oklahoma Housing Finance Agency – my first single family, tax-exempt bond program). The young lady was a teller at the bank where I did business.

The Smith family of Nye County

She told me that she and her husband couldn’t have gotten a home except for our program. It is one of the major reasons I have stayed in this industry for the last three decades.
