NRHA Named Housing Choice Voucher Public Housing Authority of the Year (Larger Division) by HUD

San Franciso, CA–The federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) named Nevada Rural Housing Authority the Housing Choice Voucher "Public Housing Authority of the Year" (Larger Division) for 2008. This prestigious recognition acknowledges NRHA's effectiveness in serving the housing needs of rural Nevada in even the most difficult economic conditions.

NRHA Rental Assistance Director Terry Smith was summoned to the Northern California-Nevada Chapter NAHRO Conference meeting in Seaside, California, on February fist of this year for the surprise announcement.

For the second year in a row, NRHA was also designated a "High Performer" by HUD.
