Wells Fargo Foundation Donates $15,000 to Streamline Application Process
Wells Fargo Foundation has donated $15,000 to Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA) in support of a self service software module that enables applicants to apply for rental assistance benefits, and check the status of their application online. “This self service module will expedite the process for applicants to apply for housing assistance and track the progress of their application online, which will in turn increase productivity and efficiency, enabling NRHA to maintain our High Performer status” said Terry Smith, Rental Assistance Director.
“Wells Fargo has for years supported programs to help rural families in Nevada, and we are honored that they have again chosen to support NRHA,” said CJ Manthe, Chief Operating Officer.
The Nevada Rural Housing Authority provides rental assistance to low-income families through the federally funded Housing Choice Rental Assistance program. The Rental Assistance Program increases affordable housing choices for very low-income households by allowing families, elderly and disabled persons to choose privately owned rental housing. NRHA has received the designation of High Performer from the Department of Housing and Urban Development for three years in a row, a tribute to the commitment to excellence.
For nearly 40 years, NRHA has helped Nevadans acquire and maintain safe, affordable housing throughout the rural regions of our state. Established under the laws of the State of Nevada in 1973 (Revised Statute 616), NRHA has been committed to meeting the ever-growing and changing challenges facing our citizens. Through innovative home ownership programs, rental assistance and community development, we’ve provided tens of thousands of individuals and families with a place to call their own.
Nevada Rural Housing Authority would like to thank the Wells Fargo Foundation for their financial assistance in helping more Nevadans obtain safe, affordable housing.
