Home At Last
Home at Last™ - Helping Nevadans realize the dream of home ownership
Do you dream of owning a home, but don’t think you can qualify for a loan? The Home At Last™ program from Nevada Rural Housing Authority could be the answer.
Since 2006 NRHA has raised over $80 million in mortgage loan funds through the sale of tax-exempt bonds helping hundreds of Nevada families buy their first homes.
If you’re looking to purchase in rural Nevada cities or towns with fewer than 100,000 residents and have not owned a home in the past three years or are a veteran, you may qualify. NRHA provides qualified Nevadans with a secure, low interest mortgage along with free down payment assistance – that’s money for a down payment you never have to pay back.
There are currently two Home At Last™ home finance programs, Home At Last™ MCC and Home At Last™ Bond Program. Home At Last™ Bond offers qualified first time buyers a down payment grant a competitive mortgage rate. Home At Last™ MCC is a mortgage credit certificate (MCC) program that can save first time buyers thousands of dollars every year in mortgage interest. Sign up for NRHA Doorbell and be among the first to hear about our new programs.
Where can I live?
In Nevada, there are many cities and regions that qualify as ‘rural’ under NRHA guidelines. Home at Last™ grant recipients can live in any city or town with a population of less than 100,000, such as Carson City, Dayton, Mesquite, Pahrump, or Sparks, to name a few.
