Weatherization Program – Improving energy efficiency, saving money and helping Nevadans
Working in partnership with Nevada Housing Division, Nevada Rural Housing Authority’s Weatherization Assistance Program helps reduce the cost of utilities and improve energy conservation for low-income Nevadans. Assistance is provided free of charge for those living in single-family homes, multi-family units and mobile homes.
The Weatherization Program is funded primarily by the US Department of Energy, as well as through the Fund for Energy Assistance Conservation.
The following is a list of typical services provided through the Nevada Rural Housing Weatherization program.
- Ceiling, floor and duct insulation
- Duct leakage sealing
- Window replacement
- Exterior door replacement
- Water heater and water pipe insulation
- Furnace replacement
Income limits
To qualify for Weatherization assistance, your family must meet the following household income limits:

| 2 | $29,420 |
| 3 | $37,060 |
| 4 | $44,700 |
| 5 | $52,340 |
| 6 | $59,980 |
For each additional family member add $7,640
